Return Policy
If you change your mind about your purchase, we offer a simple 30-day return policy on most products. Here’s how to return or exchange your item:
- Contact Us: Email us at support@japanesekitchenknifeset.com with your order number to initiate the return or exchange process. You will need to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which helps us track and manage your return efficiently. Returns cannot be processed without an RMA number.
- Condition of Items: Return items must be in their original packaging and in brand-new, unopened condition. You can reuse the original shipping box and packaging materials to ensure safe return shipping. For domestic (USA) orders, we will provide a prepaid return label for your convenience.
- Inspection and Refund: Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are processed to the original payment method typically within 2 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take up to 7 business days to appear in your account. Shipping and service fees may be deducted if applicable.
- Exceptions: Returns and exchanges are not accepted for:
- Custom orders, including engraved or personalized items
- Wholesale orders and Final Sale items
- Purchase Protection Plans
- Gift Cards
Return Policy for Used or Damaged Items
- Used or Opened Items: Items returned used, opened, or damaged may not be accepted, or refunds may be reduced based on the loss of value. Ensure all returns are scanned by the shipping carrier within 30 days of delivery.
Retail Store Purchases
If you purchased an item from a retail store, returns must be handled through that store. Contact the store directly for their return or exchange policies.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
- Inspection: Inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if you find any issues. Include your order number in your communication.
- Damaged Items: For damaged items, report the issue within 3 calendar days of delivery to be eligible for a replacement. We cannot process damage claims after this period.
Order Cancellations
Due to our efficient processing, we cannot cancel orders once placed. However, you can return the item for a refund if needed.
Order Not Received
- Insurance: All packages are insured. If your order is marked as delivered but not received, contact our support team within 30 calendar days from the delivery date as indicated by tracking information.
- Claims and Replacements: We will assist with locating the package and, if it is confirmed lost or mis-delivered, submit an insurance claim and send a replacement item.
